Development and Leadership of the First Sustainability Program

Helped develop and lead the company’s first Sustainability Program. The program aimed to maximise operational efficiencies, reduce environmental impact, and drive community engagement initiatives through extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Scope of Work

Sustainability Strategy & Implementation

Developed and launched first Sustainability Strategy and Environmental Sustainability Statement.

Energy Efficiency Projects

Project-managed the rollout of over 20,000 LED lights and 4MW of solar across 49 facilities, resulting in annual expense savings of over $1.3 million.

Community Engagement

Led initiatives including Art Therapy, Horticultural Therapy, and employee volunteering, achieving $3 million in community investment over two years.

Reporting and Recognition

Wrote and project-managed the publication of 2018 & 2019 Sustainability Reports, helping them become the first Australian aged care company to publish a stand-alone Sustainability Report. The company won its first Sustainability Award in 2019 and was a finalist in the ‘Sustainability & Environment’ category at the Australian Construction Awards 2020.
